RSPCA’s Pet Insurance Plans

There are 3 insurance plans to choose from at RSPCA. The Ultimate cover is comprehensive, the Economy cover is the balanced choice while the Basic plan only covers pet accidents.

Dog insurance

Pet owners have 3 dog insurance plans to choose from. They cover everything from accidents to serious illnesses. The Basic plan has a maximum yearly benefit of $7,000. This minimum plan covers accidental injury only with up to 80% of the vets’ bills covered across Australia. However, this plan doesn’t cover tick paralysis or other illnesses.

Dogs can benefit from the Economy and Illness plan with a maximum yearly benefit of up to $11,000. This plan covers tick paralysis treatments up to $1,000 and cruciate ligament conditions up to $2,600 per year. However, it doesn’t cover routine care or regular vet visits.

Dogs can benefit from RSPCA’s comprehensive Ultimate Accident and Illness cover plan with a yearly benefit limit of up to $11,000. This includes covering up to 80% of accidents’ costs and routine vet visits.

Cat insurance

The same 3 plans are transferred to cat insurance options at RSPCA Australia. From 8 weeks old to 9 years old, cats can benefit from the following plans.

The RSPCA Basic Accidents only cover with a yearly benefit limit of up to $7,000. This plan covers emergency boarding fees up to $5,000.

The RSPCA Economy Accident & Illness Cover with a yearly benefit limit of up to $11,000. Reimbursing up to 75% of the vet’s bills, this plan covers emergency boarding fees up to $1,000.

The complete Ultimate Accidents and Illness Cover plan has the same financial yearly benefits of up to $.1000. But unlike the Economy Accident and Illness Cover, it also covers routine care costs.

RSPCA Pet Insurance plans are comparable to those offered by other similar companies. While their maximum yearly benefit limits are different, they are comparable with those offered by Australian Seniors and Bow Wow Meow.

Overall impressions on RPSCA’s pet insurance

Unlike most other pest insurers, RSPCA Australia has a strong impact on animal welfare. This is why a certain amount of their profits with every new customer goes towards improving animal life across the country in various projects.

Apart from the social impact, the insurer also offers various dedicated plans for cats and dogs which are allowed with all registered vets across the country. As seen from customer feedback, claims are quick and easy. Most customers have their bills covered within a few days. All claims and communication is made via dedicated online customer accounts for each covered cat or dog.

No excess policies and 10% discounts for the second pet make RSPCA Pet Insurance one of the most appreciated names in the industry. This claim is backed by the Reader’s Digest Quality Service Award in 2017 and 2018.
